ecomm.africa weekly: issue 1

Welcome to the first edition of ecomm.africa weekly. This project was born out of a desire to create local content for our African context (starting with South Africa). Ecommerce is in it's infancy here in South Africa and even more so in the rest of the continent and we want to bring you content, news and community to make ecommerce doable. While this Covid-19 time has been hard for many of us it's pushed digital commerce forward years, we're excited to play a part in bringing sellers and professionals together in one space.

Yesterday was National Women's Day in South Africa and we felt it's fitting to celebrate women eCommerce founders that have made the bold move to turn their passions into action. It's never easy to put yourself out there and so let's celebrate and support local women founders in Africa!
